Thirty-five years ago this December, Lorraine was one of the first TV reporters to arrive at the scene after Pan Am Flight 103 exploded mid-air, killing all 259 people aboard and 11 on the ground. Before the police had cordoned off the area, she saw first-hand the shocking aftermath of the disaster. Confronting her own difficult memories, Lorraine returns to try to understand what happened to Lockerbie and its people once the TV cameras went home - meeting with residents in a town that didn???t put up Christmas lights in its centre for 10 years after the event - and hearing the moving stories of how people have attempted to heal after witnessing such traumatic scenes.
