Glastonbury 2024 lineup: Headline favourites and rumoured acts

Tickets for Glastonbury Festival sold out in less than an hour on Sunday.

The standard tickets went on sale on Sunday at 9am and at 9.57am the festival organisers posted online that all the tickets were gone.

But for those who missed out in the fierce scramble for entry to the legendary event, all is not lost.

There will be a resale of any cancelled or returned tickets in spring 2024.

It comes as rumours swirl about who will headline the June.

Who is performing at Glastonbury 2024?

Earlier this month, Glastonbury co-organiser Emily Eavis said reports that Madonna, Dua Lipa and Coldplay had been confirmed to headline Glastonbury were untrue.

The organisers had come under fire as this year’s festival was headliners were all male with Arctic Monkeys, Guns N’ Roses and Sir Elton John performing.

She told the Sidetracked podcast that a team from a “really big” US singer, believed to be Madonna, had got on touch to say she was available.

Next year’s “legend slot” has already been filled by a female act, she revealed.

Other big names who could be taking to the stage in Somerset next year include Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Oasis, The Spice Girls and Harry Styles.

But we will have a bit of time to wait yet – the confirmed festival line-up will be revealed early next year.

How can I get a ticket?

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, the festival said: “Our thanks to everyone who bought one and we’re sorry to those of you who missed out on a morning when demand greatly exceeded supply.

“Demand far exceeds supply and with many millions of devices trying at once, it means the system can only work at certain speed.”

In Spring 2024, there will be a re-sale of any cancelled or returned tickets.

This year’s Glastonbury ticket sale was moved back by two weeks to ensure everyone who wanted to buy a ticket was registered and therefore eligible to purchase one.

Some people who had thought they were registered discovered they weren’t and the change in date was out of “fairness” for those people.
