I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Has returned to our screens for a brand new series – and we’re enjoying watching a host of stars getting to grips with life Down Under.
The show seems more popular than ever – even more than when Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo captured the nation’s hearts last time around in 2017.
And the first of this series’ Immunity Games, where celebrities battle to win the right to stay in the jungle, aired last week.
But one famous face who was unable to gain immunity from the chop was TV presenter Noel Edmonds.
After his shock eviction, the 69-year-old trailed a potential smash hit on the small screen – which could even involve a fellow I’m A Celeb camp-mate.
Here is what we know so far about Noel’s plans for a TV comeback:
New show
Noel Edmonds wants to make a TV show with Harry Redknapp after striking up an unlikely bromance with the football manager during his stint on I’m A Celeb.
The telly personality – who got evicted from the show on Friday night – said: “I think it is OK to say there have been a couple of ideas put forward for a Noel and Harry show. But my boy is still in there, so we will have to wait for him to come out.”
So while we don’t know the exact details of what Noel has in mind, if the two did get together to make a show, it would be sure to be interesting.
‘I would have retired’
Speaking following his shock exit from the jungle, Noel confirmed that he would have retired from TV if he had won I’m A Celebrity.
He claimed: “I’m sorry, you knew the deal. The public broke the deal. The threat [of a comeback] is there. There are offers coming in, but it is early days.”
Now that Noel has left the programme, he hopes that pal Harry can become King of the Jungle.
“We did have a laugh and I think judging by what I have heard it went down well with the viewers, the TV host added.
“Harry said a wonderful thing. He said, ‘I didn’t laugh when I was a full-time football manager.’ He said the stress and the strain and how quickly you are exposed to people hating you impacted on him and he couldn’t sleep.
“Then he said, ‘I become a miserable b******. I have not laughed this much until I met you.”
For Noel, one of the only concerns was what other camp-mates might think of him and Harry’s consent laughter.
“We had such a laugh, it was great. I think sometimes the others were a bit nonplussed why we were laughing.”
Deal or no deal?
In fact, Noel and Harry’s bond was already so strong that Noel considered doing a deal with the former Tottenham boss.
Discussing the scheme he’d hatched, Noel said: “We were plotting if the two of us got to the end, we would split it and establish a Kingdom that would follow the Empire we started. So we would go from Imperial power to a Kingdom. But hey, I got thrown out, y’know.”
I’m A Celebrity airs nightly on ITV at 9pm.
