GB News presenter Laurence Fox has been arrested by police and sacked after footage on social media showed officers searching his home.
The broadcaster said it has “ended its employment relationship” with Mr Fox following comments he made on the channel about a female journalist.
It has also sacked Mr Fox’s colleague GB News presenter Calvin Robinson.
Mr Fox has also been arrested in connection with a separate incident.
The Metropolitan Police Service has said a 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit criminal damage to Ulez (Ultra low emission zone) cameras and encouraging or assisting offences to be committed.
The suspect was arrested in Stockwell and was taken to a South London police station where he remains in custody, the force said.
Mr Fox was suspended by GB News after he made a series of on-air comments about political journalist Ava Evans on the Dan Wootton Tonight show.
In a statement, GB News said: “Laurence Fox and Calvin Robinson were both suspended last week pending internal investigations that have now concluded.
“As of today, GB News has ended its employment relationship with Laurence Fox and Calvin Robinson.
“The internal investigation into Dan Wootton continues.”
Mr Robinson was sacked after sharing posts in support of Wootton on social media.
Confirmation that Mr Fox and Mr Robinson have been sacked by GB News comes as the former was arrested in relation to another incident.
In a video posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, by the Reclaim Party, which was launched by Mr Fox was shown sat on a sofa and pointing at officers, saying: “Look how many coppers there are in my house.”
Mr Fox is then heard saying: “That, ladies and gentlemen, is the country we live in,” before putting his thumb up to the camera.
The actor-turned-politician, who has apologised for the comments he made about Ms Evans, said at one point during his appearance on the Dan Wootton Tonight show: “Who would want to shag that?”
The exchange prompted more than 8,000 Ofcom complaints. The regulator has launched a probe into the programme and GB News has launched an internal investigation into the incident.
GB News boss Angelos Frangopoulos previously said he was “appalled” by the remarks, adding that they were not in keeping with the values of the channel.
