Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5 is almost upon us, and as always, rumours are abound as to what Epic Games have in store.
Long-time fans will be pleased to hear that the original Battle Royale map is making a comeback in the latest update, dubbed Fortnite OG.
Epic have remained tight-lipped about further details, though all signs point towards a nostalgic return to fan favourites.
When time does Fortnite chapter 4 season 5 start?
Fortnite chapter 4 season 5 will begin on Friday 3 November.
Chapter 4 season 4 is scheduled to end at 7am. As usual, there will likely be a gap of a few hours before the next season is ready to play.
What to expect
Epic have confirmed that there will be a return to the Fortnite chapter 1 map in the latest update, complete with fan favourites from the early days of the Battle Royale.
Fortnite leaker @ShiinaBR revealed on social media that the new season “will have old models & guns”.
“It will be insanely fast-paced and has constant map changes until the end of November,” they added.
In keeping with previous seasons, we won’t know what’s included in the Battle Pass until the new launch.
As Fortnite chapter 4 season 5 is set to be significantly shorter than a typical season, it is expected to be scaled back.
Fortnite insider iFireMonkey shared images of the leaked battle pass on X, formerly known as Twitter.
It only has 50 tiers of rewards, half of the usual 100 tiers that every other season of Fortnite offer.
There has not been a suggestion that the latest update will be launched with a live event, but rumours have pointed towards one taking place this December upon the ending of Chapter 4.
